Activities
Birch Bay Ranch has a wide range of activities to offer. We offer an extensive high ropes course including climbing walls, ziplines, rappelling, ascending, low obstacles and more. Enjoy nature from the back of a horse with our trailrides and hayrides. Also available are archery, sports fields, gym games and more! All activities can accommodate 12 persons per hour booked.
High Ropes Course
Super ZiplineAfter climbing the staircase to the top of our 70 foot Super Tower, you will be hooked to our ¼ mile zipline and enjoy a panoramic view on the way down.
Burma Zipline
After climbing a 35 foot ladder into the first tower, you will walk across a rope bridge to the second tower, which stands at 45 feet. From there, you can enjoy the zipline and its exhilarating “free-fall” effect!
K3 Zipline/Boardwalk
Climb a 40 foot ladder into the first tower then challenge a swinging board bridge suspended in midair to reach the second tower which stands 50 feet high. From there, experience a “free-fall” effect as you leave the 50 foot tower behind
K3 VineWalk/Rappel
Climb a 40 foot ladder into the first tower then walk across a cable suspended 45 feet in the air using rope “vines” to balance. Rappel to the ground from the second tower.
K3 Traverse/Rappel
Climb a 50 foot ladder into a tower. Hang suspended from a horizontal rope, moving forward hand-over-hand to traverse between two towers, then rappel to the ground. Instead of the rappel, the traverse can also be used in conjunction with the K3 Zipline.
Super Wall
This challenging obstacle is meant to simulate mountain climbing. Challenge yourself to get to the top of this 60 foot concrete wall complete with rock overhangs and a chimney.
Wood Wall
This obstacle is also meant to simulate mountain climbing. Climb this 30 foot wall using your fingers and toes on the grips!
Rappelling Wall
After climbing a ladder to the top of this 40 foot wall, you will rappel all the way to the ground.
Cable Cross
Begin by climbing a 20 foot rope ladder. Once at the top walk across a cable using an overhead rope for balance.
Ascending
Climb a vertical rope using ascending devices.
Indoor Wall
Climb a 25 foot wall using finger grips and hand holds.
Indoor Traverse
Hanging from a horizontal rope, use your hands to hold on and move forward.
Horse Program
Our horse program at Birch Bay will satsify all ages and skill levels. Whether you are a new rider or have taken professional lessons, riding our horses is a blast! There is nothing more fun than a sleigh ride in the winter time with friends. Below you can find out more about the different activites we offer for our horse program.Trail Lesson
Enjoy the countryside and our scenic trails from horseback. Your hour will include safety and mounting instruction.

Enjoy a scenic tour on a horse-drawn wagon or sleigh.
Other Activities
Low Obstacles (Not Staffed by Birch Bay Ranch)The following low obstacles are booked together as one activity. They can be used as individual challenges or for team building exercises.
- Balance Beam – Balance as you walk along beams at angles to the ground.
Balance Cable - A cable is stretched taut between two posts with a overhead rope “vines” at regular intervals. Grab hold of the ropes and see how far you can go.
- Boogie Log - Walk across a log hanging between two trees. It may sound easy, but the log sways as you walk and your balance might be tested.
- Commitment Pond - Hang on to a rope and swing from one side of our mud pond to the other. Can you make it without falling? Once you start, you’re committed!
- Mini ZipLine - Climb a tire staircase and hang on to a pulley as you zip across the ground.
- Swinging Triangles - Metal triangles hang in a row, starting close together. The space between them increases as you go. You have mastered the obstacle if you can make it to the other side without touching the ground!
- Electric Fence - Great for a group challenge, your group must make it out of a roped off area without going under or touching the rope.
- Tire Challenge - Your entire team must climb through a suspended tire without touching it.
