What's new at the Ranch?

We can't believe it's March already! This winter has flown by. But we do have some exciting news and updates!

1. We officially have occupancy on our Indoor Riding Arena! We're very excited about this, as we've been working towards officially opening the arena for use and bookings for a long time. We're happy to say that we can now open our arena to the public. We hope to book out the arena for clinics, lessons, open riding and more! If you are interested in booking our arena or want more information, feel free to call us at 780-922-2883 or email us at office@birchbayranch.com

2. We've had a blast this winter working with a few more rental groups on our new outdoor winter activities. We've been offering snowshoeing, ice carving, ziplining, archery, nature hikes and more, and they have turned out to be so fun for everyone (as long as the weather cooperates). We have been blessed with a relatively mild winter this year, so everyone's been able to really enjoy these activities.

3. We have started to receive applications for staff to work here for our four-month paid positions and for our summer camp volunteers! We get more excited with each application we receive! It always sort of feels like our family is coming home once we hire all of the seasonal staff. If you're interested in having the best job ever, or know someone who might be, apply to be on staff!

4. We just celebrated two special occasions among our staff. Our amazing cook, Alma, officially became a Canadian citizen this week! Originally from Jamaica, Alma participated in a swearing in ceremony on Monday, which we all proudly attended. Alma is an incredible cook and a great friend, who we all appreciate so much. Congratulations, Alma!

The other special occasion was our excellent Office Manager, Amanda's birthday last week! Amanda does an incredible job organizing all of our rental groups, facilitating summer camp registration, and so much more. We're so glad she's here! Happy Birthday, Amanda!
