If you've been to Family Fun Day before, you know it's an activity-packed afternoon of non-stop fun. If you haven't been before, here's what's in store for you this year:

High Ropes Course

Birch Bay Ranch has one of the best ropes courses in the province. We have three ziplines: the Burma Zip, K3 Zip and Super Zip. The Burma Zip and the K3 Zip involve crossing a rope bridge before going down a fast zipline with a freefall effect. The Super Zip is a long, high ride: 70 feet in the air and about half a kilometer long! All three of these ziplines will be open to try at the event.

If you're more into rock climbing, we've got that, too: our 70 foot Super Wall has lots of challenges for you to try! We also have a smaller Wood Wall, that will be open if we have the staff to make it available.

But ropes courses aren't just climbing walls in ziplines. We'll also have rappelling, ascending and the Cable Cross available. Rappelling is done by climbing up a tower, then lowering yourself on a rope Mission-Impossible-style! Ascending is the process of climbing up a rope using some pretty cool equipment. And the Cable Cross is an activity that has you climb a rope ladder up to a cable, which you must walk across to ring the bell at the other side.

Also at the ropes course is our low obstacle course. These obstacles present different challenges and are fun for kids to play on!

Children must be 8 years old or over to participate in any of the high ropes activities. Children younger than 8 can use the low obstacle course.

Horses

What would a day at the Ranch be without horses? 

At Family Fun Day, children younger than 8 will get the opportunity to have as many pony rides as they want! We will also have hay rides constantly going back and forth all day long for everyone to hop on and enjoy.

We're also unveiling our new indoor riding arena at this event! We will have a pen of horses inside the indoor arena that people can come and see, pet or take selfies with!

Bouncy Castles

This year, we're adding a couple of bouncy castles to Family Fun Day, just to make it that much more fun! Since the littler kids can't go on the ziplines or climbing walls, we wanted to provide them yet another activity that they can play on while they're here. Who doesn't like bouncing around?

Barbecue

Because all that fun might make you hungry, we also provide a delicious barbecue for everyone to enjoy, complete with refreshments! So you can truly make a day of it!

Family Fun Day is just $20/car, and the funds go towards sending kids to camp whose families couldn't otherwise afford it. We want to see as many kids as possible get to enjoy the awesomeness of summer camp.
