About Summer Camp

“Our God can do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine” Ephesians 3:20

WHAT DOES SUMMER CAMP LOOK LIKE?

See our Available Dates page for details about this year's registration.

Birch Bay Ranch is a fun, activity-packed summer camp that allows children to experience adventure, connect with other youth and upbeat role models, and enjoy a natural outdoor setting. We do our best to provide a unique, exciting program to ensure that each camper has the best week ever! During the day, the summer campers will participate in our many activities, including rock climbing, ziplines, horseback riding, field and gym sports, archery and other target-shooting activities. We run overnight camps that start Sunday afternoon and end Friday evening.

At Birch Bay Ranch, we strive to provide activities and facilities that encourage campers to grow physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually as they develop self-esteem, teamwork skills, independence and a love of nature, physical activity and the outdoors. All of this takes place in a warm, Christian atmosphere with positive and encouraging staff members.

Be sure to take a look at our available dates and register early to avoid disappointment! Registration opens FEBRUARY 1 at 9:00am

Key Aspects of Summer Camp at Birch Bay Ranch

Spiritual
In all facets of the program, campers are encouraged to search out a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Staff use Bible discussions and real life examples to encourage campers to consider God’s Word as a guidebook for the decisions they face at camp and in their daily lives.

Ages
Junior Camp - Ages 8-12
Teen Camp - Ages 12-16

Horsemanship
Campers at the Ranch are given the opportunity to acquire skills in Western riding under Certified Horsemanship Association standards. They will ride a horse every day, learning great physical skills while getting the chance to connect with animals and nature. On the final day of camp, campers will have the opportunity to take a photo with their horse. For teen camps only, horsemanship will be an optional activity.

High Ropes Course
Each day, campers are given the opportunity to experience our state-of-the-art high ropes course. Our exciting ropes course provides hours of fun, adventure and challenge to people of all ages. Not only does the ropes course benefit one physically, it also contributes to the development of self-confidence, movement expression and understanding one’s own capabilities. Obstacles include climbing walls, ziplines, rappelling, ascending and much more!

Additional Activities
Each day, campers will also get the chance to try archery and other target-shooting activities, play field and gym sports, and participate in camp-wide games. They will also enjoy campfires, skits, and many other fun activities that may include fort-building, nature hikes, arts and crafts.

Staff
Birch Bay Ranch staff come from various backgrounds and churches. What they all have in common is their love for God, for young people, and for fun! All staff are carefully screened and taught to be sensitive to campers, not only providing supervision and safety, but providing positive role models. Senior staff members are all First Aid and CPR trained, and all staff are thoroughly trained to operate the various activities at camp. The ratio of campers to staff members is one staff member for every six campers.
